Garbage Collection - Bacon Recycling (563) 926-2442
Garbage collection is every Friday. Residents are allowed one 33-gallon bag, not exceeding 40 pounds. Each additional bag must have a garbage tag attached. Tags can be purchased at City Hall for $1.00. Please place garbage curbside by 7:00 a.m.

Recycling collection is every Friday. Please place 5 feet from the garbage can. Residents must provide their own containers or purchase one at City Hall for $3.00. Light bulbs (excluding fluorescents) are accepted. Bacon Recycling accepts numbers 1-7 plastics, however, plastic shopping bags and water softener salt bags are not accepted.

Holiday Collection - Contact City Hall if your pickup date is on a holiday.

Yard Waste - Yellow tags may be purchased at City Hall for bags weighing less than 50 pounds - one tag per bag.

Appliances and Bulky Waste - Red tags and appliance tags may be purchased at City Hall for appliances and additional waste. Call City Hall for pricing.

Tires - Tire tags may be purchased at City Hall. Call for pricing. Yard Waste - Blue tags may be purchased at City Hall and the Short Stop Convenience Store for bags weighing less than 50 pounds - one tag per bag.
